Biography

Shirin Gallery is honored to present an exhibition of Shadi Talaei’s works, titled Fragments of Reminiscence.

Born in 1983 in Tehran, Shadi Talaei earned a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts from Elm Va Farang University and a Master’s degree from Alzahra University.

Her artistic journey began during high school, but her interest in typography and letters deepened while pursuing an associate degree at Vali-e-Asr University in Tehran. In 2001, she began working in painting and Persian typography, taking her first steps into calligraphic painting by 2009. Her first collection was exhibited in 2015 at Sobhan Gallery, followed by a solo show at Sohrab Gallery in 2017. In 2021, she presented The Drum of Departure at Shirin Gallery.

Shadi Talaei’s work transforms Persian letters into motifs, blending texture, form, and color. Her art reflects contrasts—between excitement and silence, repetition and the everyday.
