Biography

Masoud Soheili Nezhad (b. 1983, Tehran) is an Iranian ceramic artist whose practice is rooted in a background in philosophy, holding a B.A. in Philosophy from

Azad University, Central Tehran Branch. His work explores the dialogue between material, reflection, and meaning — where notions of time, stillness, and presence

unfold through a poetic and contemplative visual language. Combining ceramics and mirror work, Soheilinejad creates compositions that engage both fragility and reflection, evoking an interplay between the tangible and the metaphysical. His first solo exhibition centers on the classical Persian romance Khosrow and Shirin, interpreting Khosrow’s pursuit of Shirin as a metaphor for the human endeavor toward love, desire, and transcendence. In addition to his solo practice, Soheilinejad has actively participated in numerous group exhibitions at leading Tehran galleries such as Shirin, Saless, Nian, Soo, Estakhr, and bostan, maintaining a consistent presence in Iran’s contemporary art scene.
